It is good to know that this succulent plant does not cope with negative temperatures, so in winter it can only stay in warm places.
The minimum temperature it resists is 5-8 degrees Celsius.
The soil should be mixed with charcoal and finely crushed brick. For drainage, a layer of crushed pebbles or walnut shells is placed at the bottom of the pot.
Place a thin layer of wood sawdust on top. Aloe really grows and develops only a year or two after planting. The roots of the plant will grow to the bottom of the pot. Transplanting into a larger pot and / or changing the soil is recommended every three years. Young plants move into larger pots and change their soil every spring,
and old plants - once every three or four years.
Aloe Vera for pots should be watered often, taking care not to puddle water because excess water leads to rapid root rot.
In winter, aloe vera is kept at 12-14 degrees Celsius, in bright places, and in summer it needs a lot of heat, sun and moderate humidity.
All species of Aloe are semitropical plants that can grow only in climatic conditions where there is no danger of temperatures below zero degrees. They are excellent houseplants, even very hardy if the minimum conditions are met, the light being essential.
